Love yourself in the face of darkness

There are days when we find ourselves stuck and caught up in the patterns of the mind’s chatter. During these times we might feel frustrated, helpless, lost, upset, lonely and depressed. Often when we encounter a difficult situation or a powerful emotion that we deem negative, we may instinctively resist facing it directly. We resist because we are afraid to look deeply within ourselves to discover what we might find.

However more often then not, when we give ourselves the permission to listen to these emotionally charged chatter; we will find that they carry important messengers that can help us get to know the origin of our suffering. These messages maybe tied to feelings of self-worth, disappointments, shame and self-doubt.
